Who's Mama's In A Factory?

Mama's In A Factory is a very unique Japanese three piece indie band. Members are my friend, Hiromi(Vocal, Bass), Hideya(Guiter) and Rikiya(Drums). Hiromi and Hideya have been together and writing their songs for more than 6 years and playing gigs mainly in Tokyo area in Japan. Their sound has been so unique so I always found difficult to explain other people what they sound like. Recently, Hiromi found that US band called Madder Rose had some similer sound atomosphere in their 1994 released album, "Panic On" to Mama's In A Factory sound. They have played as a first act when Pavement('93) and Lush('94) palyed in Tokyo. They also been to London and played several gigs at Falcon, Powerhouse, Splash Club, etc during '92-'95. And They are planning to visit UK next Spring again. They are not an art oriented band, but when Hiromi's catchy tune and Hideya's imaginative guiter sound mix, they make dramatice powerfull pop tunes. They have their own home page and you can hear their song samples(they are not their best songs, though) and as Hiromi claims she is a big George Harrison fan, she has some essays on Beatles/Harrison stuffs.
